The Role

We are seeking an Estimator with construction industry experience to join our in-house team full-time.  This role is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional who understands building science through hands-on field experience and enjoys collaborating with sales, design, and engineering teams. 

The Estimator is responsible for reviewing construction documents and developing accurate panel package pricing using EPT products.  The successful candidate will play a key role in producing compelling bids and estimates while ensuring project integrity and constructability. 

This position is on-site in Cottonwood, MN, with little to no travel required. 

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and building drawings
  • Determine if drawings or documentation are missing required information
  • Engage with customers, architects, engineers, and internal teams to resolve technical or engineering concerns
  • Deconstruct client drawings into component parts required for manufacturing
  • Calculate product quantities, panel layouts, and total project costs
  • Research and apply current pricing levels
  • Conduct initial customer meetings or estimate reviews as needed
  • Communicate building and panel technical considerations clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Work closely with the sales team to deliver estimates, bids, and sales documentation
  • Coordinate with internal team members to transition projects to the design team
  • Maintain organized project files for multiple concurrent estimates
  • Manage multiple estimates independently within a time-sensitive environment
  • Participate in team communication and project integrity reviews

Recommended Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Construction industry experience with strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings
  • Experience in construction estimating
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and math aptitude
  • Solid understanding of building science and structural concepts
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

  • Degree and/or experience in construction, building science, engineering, architecture, or equivalent field experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD (preferred, not required)
  • Familiarity with software tools such as Excel, HubSpot, Airtable, Outlook, and construction calculators

Experience

  • Construction experience: 1+ years preferred
  • 1–5 years project coordination or related experience
  • Degree or background in project management, engineering, construction, drafting, or architecture (preferred but not required)

Requirements

The Role
We seek an experienced Drafter with strong CAD skills and a background in architectural drawings and construction. This full-time, on site position works within our drafting and project management team to develop project specific SIP shop drawing and create sophisticated panel plans for a variety of building types. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Create detailed construction documents and SIP plans
  • Verify that client designs meet performance and structural requirements
  • Review CAD models and drawings for completeness and accuracy
  • Analyze project information to determine the most effective panel layout
  • Communicate technical building and panel information clearly (verbally and in writing) with clients, project managers, engineers and team members
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation
  • Manage multiple projects independently in a time-sensitive environment
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and conscientiousness with drawings and paperwork

Recommended Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Degree and/or experience in construction/building science, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred
  • 1 + year of drafting and/or AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Strong math aptitude and understanding of structural/architectural concepts

Technical Skills

  • AutoCAD (required)
  • Revit or similar construction/drafting software
  • HSB software experience is a strong plus

The Role

We seek an entry-level to mid-level Project Coordinator to join our project management team. This is an opportunity to collaborate with a passionate, fun, and purpose driven group. Clients include architects, home builders, developers, and contractors. The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years of experience and be comfortable managing multiple projects, documents, deadlines, and communications. The position directly supports our drafting, engineering, and sales teams.

A degree in project management, engineering, drafting, architecture, or construction management is helpful but not required. Construction knowledge, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are highly valued.
