The Role
We seek an entry- level to mid-level Project Coordinator to join our drafting and project management team. This is an opportunity to collaborate with a passionate and fun group. Our goal is to improve the world around us through smart manufacturing and progressive product building solutions that are earth and family friendly. Our work is known for its quality, customer service, innovation, and leadership in the industry. Clients include architects, home builders, developers, and contractors.

We are looking for a recently graduated to 5 year tenured Project Coordinator. The individual hired for this position will be involved with managing multiple projects, document management, deadline setting, internal and external communications. The successful candidate will work alongside our draftsman, engineering, and sales teams.

A degree and/or experience in project management, engineering, architecture, or construction is not required but particularly helpful. Building and construction knowledge, attention to detail, and project management skills will be looked upon especially favorably.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited:

  • Prepare project file for drafting process
  • Track project through the drafting process
  • Organize special materials
  • Calculate takeoffs for special miscellaneous materials
  • Get project approval for production

Recommended skills for the position:

  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
  • Ability to read construction documents
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in various stages of completion
  • Experience in construction estimating
  • Experience in Auto CAD is a plus.

The successful candidate will:

  • Enjoy connecting with peer professionals to complete complex projects
  • Communicate clearly and specifically with multiple internal and external stakeholders on concurrent, short, and multi-week projects
  • Independently manage project completion on multiple projects within a time-sensitive environment
  • Maintain organized files and folders for multiple projects
  • Exhibit work conscientiousness and attention to detail with in- depth paperwork and drawings
  • Enjoy a mix of working independently and with peer colleagues
  • Little to no travel is involved. This position is located in our Cottonwood, MN office

The Role

We seek an experienced Drafter who has worked extensively with CAD, architectural drawings, and the construction industry. The successful candidate will join our in-house team full-time to develop panel requirements and sophisticated panel plans for a host of building types.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Draw detailed construction documents
  • Verify client designs meet performance requirements
  • Review CAD models and drawings for completeness and accuracy
  • Communicate building and panel technical considerations effectively (orally and written) with clients, project managers, and engineers
  • Analyze information available to determine and plan the best panel layout for the project

Requirements
A degree and/or experience in construction/building science, engineering, architecture or commensurate field experience is preferred. Attention to detail, organization skills, math aptitude, and solid understanding of structural engineering will be looked upon especially favorably.

Technical experience in the following software programs are helpful for this position:

  • AutoCAD
  • Revit, and/or similar construction software
  • **Experience with HSB software is a plus

Salary and Benefits
Little to no travel is involved. This position is located in our Cottonwood, MN office.

Construction and forklift experience preferred. Peak construction overtime required. Please be self-motivated, have attention to detail and work well in a team environment.
