How we work
Learn About Our Process
Welcome to Extreme Panel Technologies, where your journey to building high-performance, energy-efficient, and resilient structures begins. Our Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) are tailored to fit your project needs with precision, reducing build times and maximizing efficiency. Here’s a detailed step-by-step process to guide you through ordering and production.
Approve The Estimate
Once you receive the estimate, review it, and feel free to reach out to us with any questions. We’re happy to discuss any concerns you may have.
Contract & Deposit
After you approve the estimate, we will send you a contract along with our terms and conditions. To proceed, sign the contract and return it with the required deposit. A 50% deposit of the estimated project cost is needed to initiate drafting and project coordination.
Dedicated Project Coordinator (PC)
You will be assigned a dedicated Project Coordinator (PC) to oversee your entire project, ensuring it stays on track. Within 10 business days of receiving your completed project checklist, your PC will assign a drafter to begin creating your SIP Shop Drawings.
SIP Engineering (if applicable)
In certain cases, engineering services may be necessary to ensure that your SIP structure meets all relevant building codes and standards.
Review SIP Shop Drawings
Once you receive the SIP Shop Drawings, review them carefully for accuracy. These drawings are interpretations of your building plans and serve as the foundation for Extreme SIPs production. We highly recommend consulting your architect or an experienced builder during this review process. Sign off on the drawings to give us approval to move forward.
Revisions & Approval Process
Revisions to the SIP Shop Drawings are common. Once we receive your redlined changes, we aim to return the updated drawings within 5 business days.
Final Approved Drawings
Once the drawings are approved, our project coordinators will reach out to schedule production and delivery.
Approval to Proceed With Production
After final approval, the SIP Shop Drawings are converted into production-ready drawings, which include the nesting of Extreme SIPs for efficient production and shipping. Lead times for production will vary based on the season and current backlog. Please ensure you are fully committed at this stage, as changes post-approval may delay shipment and incur additional costs.
Production
Once your project enters production, your custom Extreme SIPs will be fabricated at our facility.
Final Payment
Payment for the remaining project balance is due prior to shipping. Delays in payment may result in shipment delays and additional fees.
Prepare for Delivery
Ensure your site is ready to receive the Extreme SIPs. Extreme SIPs take up significant space, so having a plan for storage and installation is critical. Arrange a team to offload and inventory the shipment upon delivery.
Receiving Your Extreme SIPs
Upon delivery, you or an authorized representative must inspect the shipment. Verify that all items match the packing list and note any damages or missing pieces on the packing slip. Notify your Project Coordinator immediately of any issues. Damages or discrepancies must be reported within 10 days of delivery.
Handling Delays
If delays arise, we can wrap and store your Extreme SIPs package outdoors for $500 per truckload.
