Teresa Lopez, has executed leading-edge financial and mortgage financing, market growth strategies and economic solutions for the high-performance built environment space during her 30+ year career in the financial industry; meeting the evolving demand for “green” and leading-edge mortgage financing in communities across the country.

Her expertise in pioneering financing for construction projects affords developers, builders, Realtors® and their customers innovative, cost efficient funding. Teresa is a recognized authority in the sustainable financing arena and green building industry. She has successfully funded numerous high-performance, net-zero energy projects, as well as a diversified portfolio of real estate transactions and community developments during her career.

Ms. Lopez has held many certifications, including LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Associate and has served as a licensed mortgage banker for over 30 years. She has several patent awards for green appraisal and private label incentivized green mortgages. Teresa has developed and lead national green economic training curriculums for the real estate, financial and appraisal industry.

Ms. Lopez has served as a Subject Matter Expert for the Appraisal Foundation and Green Initiative leaders with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD and other organizations in Washington, DC. She is a published author of the e-book Green Energy Money, promoting economic solutions for high-performance building and finance for residential and commercial stakeholders. Teresa is excited to be part of an experienced, innovative mortgage lending team with First United Bank; a nationally licensed financial institution in all 50 states. With strong skill sets as a construction lending liaison, promoting high-performance building, she has supported all types of construction project financing in many regions in the US. She is also active in serving attainable and sustainable community development emerging in early-to mid-adaptor regions.

She offers a suite of competitive “niche” loan product financing. Her passion includes saving people money and finding creative approaches to solving potential financial and economic challenges.
